Onimusha: Way of the Sword Demo: Downloads and Rewards

The short answer

The expanded demo is on all five official storefronts. Progress does not carry into the full game, but keeping your demo save lets you claim the Kubi Akari talisman.

Where to download it

CAPCOM’s demo page points to five places: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store and Nintendo eShop.

Search the full title in your regional store and check that the listing is the demo, not the full game or an add-on.

What is inside

The expanded version adds new locations, fights after Sasaki Ganryu and a closing boss.

You get to try Issen, Genma combat and a big finish.

Demo content differs from the full game, and PC demo performance does not predict the retail build.

Claiming Kubi Akari

1. Do not delete your demo save.
2. In the full game, open Settings > Privacy > Demo Bonus and choose Collect Reward.
3. At a Spirit Mirror, open Additional Content or Downloadable Content.
4. Select Demo Bonus to claim Kubi Akari, then equip it as a talisman.

The reward and progress transfer are separate things. You can claim the reward; the official policy rules out carrying progress over.
